Job Description:

The Finance Manager will oversee accounting and financial operations, develop plans, ensure regulatory compliance, analyze investment opportunities, and stay informed about industry trends. Additionally, this individual is also expected to contribute to the advancement of sustainable finance offering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily financial operations, including budgeting, cash flow, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement strategic financial plans supported by forecasting and analysis to drive sustainable and scalable growth.
  • Monitor and report on key financial KPIs, including burn rate, runway, and profitability, to inform executive decision-making.
  • Set up and manage internal financial systems, controls, and reporting tools to support operational efficiency and investor readiness.
  • Support pricing strategies and commercial decisions by analyzing cost structures and evaluating service lines, partnerships, and offerings.
  • Lead capital-raising efforts, including Seed to Series B rounds, and manage IPO planning and execution if pursued.
  • Coordinate with legal, tax, and audit advisors to manage financial risks, ensure compliance, support audit readiness, and optimize tax
  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance team aligned with startup culture and company growth objectives.
  • Engage in forums, working groups, and industry events to help shape sustainable finance standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in finance roles such as analyst, accountant, or controller.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
  • Effective communicator, confident in presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in forecasting, data analysis, and financial tools.
  • Solid knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory standards.
  • Experience leading or supporting investment rounds and negotiations.
  • Strong grasp of valuation methods for early-stage and private ventures.
  • Proven ability to optimize costs and improve financial efficiency.
  • Comfortable operating in dynamic, fast-paced startup environments.
