Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Subject Matter Expert (SME) in ESG and Carbon offset to join our dynamic team at Ecoryx Ltd. Company in Al Khobar as a full-time employee. In this role, the successful candidate will work with top global clients across diverse sectors to provide expert ESG and Carbon offset consulting services. And will be responsible for assessing and enhancing ESG and Carbon offset performance, ensuring compliance with standards, and developing comprehensive strategies and reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct ESG Gap Assessments and provide impactful recommendations.
• Evaluate the social impact of business activities on communities, supply chains, employees, and other stakeholders.
• Development and implementation of ESG strategies for clients, including Materiality Assessments, ESG reporting, Decarbonization, Supply Chain frameworks.
• Analyzing ESG and carbon data to provide insights and recommendations and produce high-quality reports and documentation for clients and stakeholders.
• Conducting research on emerging trends in ESG and carbon offsetting and integrating innovative approaches into service offerings.
• Designing and managing carbon offsetting projects with various carbon registries (e.g. VERRA, Gold Standard etc.), overseeing carbon credit generation, validation, and verification and advising clients on carbon neutrality and net-zero strategies.
• Perform peer benchmarking of sustainability/ESG performance across various sectors.
• Collect, collate, and analyze data related to sustainability impacts from client operations.
• Write and review high-quality Decarbonization plans, Scope 3 inventory, ESG reports and create performance dashboards, diligence reports, and scorecards.
• Creation of performance dashboards, and ESG diligence & Score Card.
• demonstrating awareness and application of existing and emerging digital technologies, capabilities, practices, and strategies
• Manage client relationships, lead workshops, and represent the company at industry events.
• Oversee project budgets, timelines, and deliverables, and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with clients on ESG reporting strategies and roadmap development.
• Overseeing the execution of ESG and carbon offsetting projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality outcomes, and alignment with client expectations.
• Develop and deliver training programs and workshops for clients and internal teams on ESG practices, carbon accounting, and sustainability strategies.
• Preparing proposals, pitches, and presentations to secure new business. Identifying market opportunities and contributing to the development of new services and offerings related to sustainability and carbon management.
• Represent Ecoryx at industry conferences, webinars, and forums, sharing insights and contributing to the global conversation on ESG and carbon management.
• Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, industry associations, and investors, to advance ESG and carbon initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related field
• 10 years of experience in sustainability or a related field.
  • Preferably 7 years of professional experience in ESG, Decarbonization, Carbon offsetting in Petrochem, Cement, Iron and Steel and Mining sectors, or related fields, with a proven track record of successful project leadership is desired.
• Experience and knowledge about commonly applied global standards including GRI, IFRS, TCFD, SASB, CDP, DJSI and UNGC.
• Staying informed on relevant ESG regulations, standards, and best practices, particularly within Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East region and ensure client compliance
