Job Description:

The Sustainability Expert & ESG Lead will spearhead the development, implementation, and management of ESG and decarbonization strategies for clients. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure that sustainability initiatives are effectively integrated into client’s business operations, driving environmental, social, and governance performance improvements. This role also involves the training and skill development of internal team members with respect to ESG and Sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identifying market opportunities and contributing to the development of new services and offerings related to sustainability and carbon management.
• Preparing proposals, pitches, and presentations to secure new business.
• Oversee development of ESG strategies of an organization aligning with organizational objectives.
• Lead engagements to evaluate the current state of sustainability practices within the organization frameworks to integrate sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.
• Lead and review ESG and Decarbonization roadmaps to achieve long-term sustainability objectives.
• Developing and delivering tailored sustainability solutions that align with clients’ business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance to the junior sustainability team to develop their competencies in the field.
• Developing and delivering training programs for clients on sustainability practices and carbon management.
• Evaluating, tracking, and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress towards sustainability goals.
• Preparing and reviewing comprehensive reports developed by the team and communicating the organization’s sustainability efforts and achievements.
• Managing and reporting on the scope of sustainability projects, including scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
• Providing guidance and support to reduce carbon emissions across the organization.
• Establishing guidelines for procuring goods and services that meet sustainability criteria.
• Leading the execution of ESG strategies and ensuring they are integrated with corporate goals.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree or Higher in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a Related Field.
• Proven Experience in Sustainability and ESG, at least 5-7 years of experience.
• Deep Understanding of Sustainability Frameworks and Standards.
• Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
• Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Skills.
• Project Management Skills.

• Professional Certifications.
• Experience in a related Industry.
• Consultancy Experience.
• Knowledge of Sustainability Reporting Standards.
• Experience in Sustainability Risk Management.
